My name is Nikkala and I am a senior studying journalism and cinema studies. I'm originally from San Diego, California, but have thoroughly enjoyed living in New York the past few years and plan to stay after graduation. I love to write, both for journalism and creatively, and when I'm not in school I like spending time with my two cats.

I am really a lover of all film genres, but especially enjoy anything verging on surrealism, which is part of the reason I wanted to take this class. I also have a strong interest in animated and stop motion film, especially those that are geared more toward adult audiences. I was lucky enough to take a class at NYU studying animated films and it has remained one of my favorites.

I'd say that my knowledge of greek film doesn't go too far beyond what is accessible to mainstream American audiences. That being said, I'm looking forward to further expanding my knowledge over the course of this semester!
